About Us:

We provide quality assured Electrical Engineering, contracting and consultancy services to blue chip clients on various geographical locations across Ireland, UK and Mainland Europe.  We specialise in full turnkey solutions up to and including 275KV in the Renewables sector and other Mission Critical Facilities.

As Principal Contractor on the first of kind installation of a Hydrogen Electrolyser on the island of Ireland within Wind Farms, we take Pride as a front runner contributing to the decarbonisation of the electrical grid infrastructure.

About the Role:

Reporting to the site lead, the ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining high-quality installations and ensuring the reliability of electrical systems used in data centres.

Specific Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance and Control

·     Develop and implement QA/QC processes for all stages of electrical installations within the data centres.

·     Conduct regular inspections and audits of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.

·     Identify and resolve quality issues as they arise, determining root causes and corrective actions.

 

Documentation& Reporting:

·     Maintain comprehensive records of inspection reports, quality assessments, and non-conformance reports.

·      Prepare detailed documentation for quality assurance activities and produce quality control plans.

·      Ensure that all project documentation is up-to-date and accessible for audits and compliance checks.

·      Work closely with project managers and engineers, to ensure quality standards are met throughout the construction and commissioning phases.

·      Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to discuss quality objectives and communicate findings or concerns effectively.

·      Have extensive knowledge and continue to stay updated on relevant standards such as National Wiring Rules for Ireland and BS7671.

·      Ensure all electrical installations are compliant with governmental regulations and industry standards.

·      Mentor and train junior QA/QC staff on best practices and QA/QC protocols.

·     Provide guidance on electrical quality issues to ensure standards are maintained across all project phases.

Person Specification:

Essential Criteria:

·          NVQ Level 3 in Installation of Electrical Systems or Level 6 National Electrical Craft Certificate or equivalent

·          Minimum of 3 Years of QA/QC experience in electrical systems, with a strong focus on data centre infrastructure.

·          Have experience in testing and commissioning of electrical systems in accordance with National Wiring Rules or BS7671 standards.

·           Proven track record of managing quality requirements in large-scale electrical projects.

·           Knowledge of data centres electrical operations, including UPS systems, generators, switchgear, transformers, and cabling.

Desirable Criteria:

·          Certification as a Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar is preferred.
