We provide quality assured Electrical Engineering, contracting and consultancy services to blue chip clients on various geographical locations across Ireland, UK and Mainland Europe.  We specialise in full turnkey solutions up to and including 275KV in the Renewables sector and other Mission Critical Facilities.

As Principal Contractor on the first of kind installation of a Hydrogen Electrolyser on the island of Ireland within Wind Farms, we take Pride as a front runner contributing to the decarbonisation of the electrical grid infrastructure.

Helping lead both Ireland and the UK in achieving our Net Zero targets by 2050.

About the Role:

You will work as part of the engineering team undertaking operational and maintenance activities on assets up to and including 132kV that are operated under the Lagan Energy HV operational safety rules (OSR’s) – assets including onshore windfarms and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects.

Specific Responsibilities:

·         Perform installation, refurbishment and maintenance works on HV equipment.

·         Work towards HV switching and Senior Authorised Person (SAP) operational authorisations.

·         Installation of AC/DC wiring and electrical fault-finding.

·         Carryout mechanical modifications and repairs.

·         Act as primary response to fault scenarios.

·         Perform supervisory duties when needed, and act as work party leader operating under Lagan Energy safety documentation.

·         Assess hazards within the workplace environment to then proceed with documentation through the form of risk assessment method statements (RAMS).

Person Specification:

Essential Criteria:

·         Minimum of 1 year experience in the electrical and/or mechanical industry.

·         Computer literate – skilled in Microsoft Office applications.

·         Ability to generate professional correspondence unaided.

·         Good time management skills and can multi-task and work efficiently and accurately under pressure.

·         Professional and pleasant manner in dealing with internal and external customers.

·         Willing to travel when required.

·         Demonstrates a desire to Continuously Develop.

·         Good Interpersonal and Communication Skills.

 

      Desirable Criteria:

·         Previous experience within HV maintenance.

·         Experience within a similar role.

·         Valid CSR Card

·         Comfortable with working at height.
